What the Sevenoaks office page is leaving on the table.

A walk-through of the live /locations/sevenoaks/ page on 25 May 2026.

01

No LegalService schema, no og:image, no map on the Sevenoaks office page.

Observation
A line-by-line inspection of the served HTML for /locations/sevenoaks/ surfaces no application/ld+json block, no og:image, and no embedded Google Map. The meta description does carry "since 1881" but also names "divorce lawyers" and "family law" as Sevenoaks services, when the firm's own copy elsewhere says family law is "based in Bromley and available to meet clients in Sevenoaks". The page is one sub-route of a firm-wide WordPress template; Google sees a generic page and no structured signal that Second Floor, 50-52 London Road is a physical solicitor office with hours, telephone and named partners.
Impact
Every "solicitors Sevenoaks", "conveyancing solicitor TN13", "probate Sevenoaks Kent", "wills Sevenoaks" or "commercial property solicitor Kent" query is increasingly answered by Google rich snippets and AI assistants reading structured data first. With no LegalService schema the Sevenoaks office does not appear in those snippets. A competing High Street firm with a thin website but well-formed schema outranks Wellers on the firm's own TN13 1AS postcode. The link-preview unfurl when enquiries@ sends the office URL by email shows a blank card, not the Knole skyline or the building.
After rebuild
After rebuild: a single LegalService + LocalBusiness JSON-LD block on the Sevenoaks page with the full PostalAddress, telephone in E.164, email, opening hours including the evening-and-weekend-by-arrangement clause, the seven named Sevenoaks staff as Person entries, areaServed of Sevenoaks, Otford, Kemsing, Shoreham, Westerham, Borough Green and the wider West Kent catchment, Service entries for the four lines that this office actually does (residential conveyancing, wills/probate, commercial property, dispute resolution), plus FAQPage for the five questions actually asked at reception. Meta description rewritten to match the actual Sevenoaks service mix. Embedded Google Map for the TN13 1AS postcode.
02

Sarah Reece-Jones (Partner, founder's daughter, Sevenoaks-resident since 1998) is not above the fold.

Observation
Tony Reece-Jones opened the Reece-Jones Partnership at 50-52 London Road in 1965. He retired in 1998 and the partnership continued under his daughter, Sarah Reece-Jones, alongside Philip Jackson. The Reece-Jones Partnership joined Wellers in 2014 to become Wellers Reece Jones, with Sarah still the Partner on Commercial Property at Sevenoaks. The /locations/sevenoaks/ page mentions "established 1965 as the Reece-Jones Partnership" in body copy, then never names Sarah. The single most credible heritage signal on this office, a father-to-daughter continuity at the same door across 61 years, is nowhere above the fold.
Impact
High-street Private Client and Commercial Property work in a town of 30,000 is bought on local belonging, not national network. The competing solicitors on London Road and the High Street lead with their building, their founder and their succession story. A Sevenoaks homeowner choosing where to instruct a conveyance on a £700,000 family home wants to see the partner, the address and how long the firm has been at it, in that order. A firm-wide template that names no Sevenoaks partner and gives no continuity narrative loses that instruction to whoever else surfaces theirs first.
After rebuild
After rebuild: Sarah Reece-Jones in the hero, named, with the Partner title, the 1965-founder lineage, and a one-line statement of what she does at this desk. Tracy Gower (Licensed Conveyancer, 25+ years at this office per client review), Sally Andrews (Senior Solicitor, Wills/Trusts/Probate), Tara Edwards (Private Client Executive), Julie Bowen (Conveyancing Assistant), Sasha Burl (Solicitor, Dispute Resolution) and Kristian Longhurst (Support, Private Client) each get a director-style card in a dedicated Team section, with direct dials, SRA references where applicable, and one paragraph naming the exact work they own. The four-line service grid weighted to the actual Sevenoaks desk.
03

Sixty-one years at a Locally Listed Building, no photograph, no detail.

Observation
The Sevenoaks office occupies the Second Floor of 50-52 London Road. The building itself was built in the 1880s for a harness and saddlers business, is a Sevenoaks District Council Locally Listed Building, is described in the Kent Heritage record as "a substantial free-standing Victorian building on three floors, yellow facing brick, early Victorian pilasters and mouldings, shop fronts to London Road, with imposing size that allows it to function as a stop end to the street frontage". This solicitors' practice has occupied it since 1965, longer than it was ever a saddlery. None of that detail, and no photograph of the building, appears on the live Sevenoaks page. Knole Park, the National Trust 1000-acre deer park and the most recognisable Sevenoaks landmark, sits a quarter-mile from the office door and goes unmentioned.
Impact
Sevenoaks competitors lead with their door, their street, the parish church or the Knole gatehouse. A client choosing between three local firms decides on who the office looks like and where it sits. A firm-wide template that swaps "Sevenoaks" for "Bromley" or "Chislehurst" in the H1 reads as "they do not care that they are in Sevenoaks", which to a Sevenoaks resident is the deal-breaker for everything except the cheapest commodity work. The 61-year continuity at a building older than the firm itself is the most defensible competitive position the office has, and it is invisible.
After rebuild
After rebuild: a hero that names the Second Floor, 50-52 London Road and Knole behind it, with the Kent ragstone and Knole-moss palette sampled from the landmark itself. A heritage band giving the building's 1880s harness-and-saddlers origin, Tony Reece-Jones's 1965 opening, Sarah Reece-Jones's 1998 succession, the 2014 Wellers merger. A Visit block with the postcode, walking-distance landmarks (Bligh's Meadow, the Stag Theatre, Knole Park gate, the Vine cricket ground), the embedded Google Map. The office stops being a tab in a picker and starts being an office.

Frequently asked

Five things worth answering before you reply.

How does this relate to the existing wellerslawgroup.com WordPress site?

It is a single-page rebuild of the /locations/sevenoaks/ route, designed to be lifted into the existing firm-wide site as a standalone Sevenoaks office page (the other four locations keep their current pages). Two options on hand-over: (a) port the rebuild back into a WordPress template that matches, so the firm-wide CMS keeps editing rights, or (b) host the Sevenoaks page on the Astro / Vercel build and 301 the old URL to it. Either way the rest of wellerslawgroup.com is left alone. The Sevenoaks page is the unit of work, not the whole firm.

Why a Sevenoaks-only rebuild rather than firm-wide?

Because the Sevenoaks office has a specific local story (the 1880s Victorian building, the 1965 Reece-Jones founding, the father-to-daughter succession, the proximity to Knole) that a firm-wide template cannot carry well. Multi-office solicitors are bought one office at a time: a Sevenoaks resident comparing Wellers Reece Jones to the High Street competition is not comparing it to Wellers London or Wellers Surrey. Fixing Sevenoaks first costs a fraction of a firm-wide rebuild and shows whether the structure (Partner-above-the-fold, schema-on-the-office-page, the building in the heritage block) lifts the office's share of "solicitors Sevenoaks" and "conveyancing TN13" search results. If it does, the same structure ports to Bromley, Chislehurst and the rest.

What schema, exactly, gets added?

A single LegalService + LocalBusiness JSON-LD block on the Sevenoaks office page with full PostalAddress (Second Floor, 50-52 London Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1AS), telephone in E.164 (+441732457575), email (enquiries@wellerslawgroup.com), opening hours including the evening-and-weekend-by-arrangement note, and SRA Organisation 525515 as a credentialed identifier. Seven Person entries (Sarah Reece-Jones, Tracy Gower, Julie Bowen, Sally Andrews, Tara Edwards, Sasha Burl, Kristian Longhurst) with their direct-dial telephones where published, roles and SRA references where applicable. Four Service entries (Residential Conveyancing, Wills/Probate/Estate Administration, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution). A FAQPage entry for the five questions on the page itself. The firm-wide Organization on /about stays where it is; this is additive, not replacing.

How do you handle the fact that Sevenoaks does not do family law in-house?

Honestly. The firm's own copy says family law is "based in Bromley and available to meet clients in Sevenoaks". The rebuild reflects this: the Sevenoaks service grid lists the four lines actually delivered at the Second Floor (residential conveyancing, wills/probate, commercial property, dispute resolution), and the FAQ answers "we route family law to Bromley with a named contact, and the first appointment can be in Sevenoaks if that is more convenient for you". A Sevenoaks resident looking for divorce advice gets routed to the right person on the first click rather than booking with the wrong office. The current meta description ("divorce lawyers, family law") creates a mismatch the rebuild fixes.

What does "fixed fee" cover and what is excluded?

Two thousand pounds covers the full Sevenoaks-office-page rebuild as described above: hero, team cards, service grid, heritage band, FAQ, visit block with embedded map, full JSON-LD, meta and og tags, one round of revisions before publish, DNS / route handover. One hundred and fifty pounds per month covers ongoing hosting on Vercel (or the WP-port equivalent), monthly schema review as the team changes, security updates, monthly analytics email and one editorial change per month included. Fifty pounds per month is the optional FAQ chatbot. Excluded: firm-wide rebrand work, the other four office pages, the firm-wide site navigation, and any work on the Town and Parish or Charity practice landing pages. If the rebuild lands and the firm wants the same treatment for Bromley or Chislehurst, that is a separate scope at the same fixed-fee rate per office.

Next step

Reply if the rebuild is worth a thirty-minute call with Sarah and the Sevenoaks desk.

If the proposal lands, reply with two or three 20-minute slots in the next ten days for a video call. I take on three West Kent and South-East builds this quarter, and first confirmed wins the slot. If I do not hear back by 4 June 2026, this proposal site comes down. No retainer, no contract, no in-person visits, fully remote from Switzerland.
